Straight arrow. The needle would not have enough strength to penetrate at slow speeds (velocity is the key)

Perhaps I had a typo...the ping pong ball will accelerate as fast as the bowling ball, but due to it's lower average specific gravity it will reach it's V-max much faster (it will have a lower v-max) Now....as far as which falls faster a marble or a feather...the marble does....in an atmosphere...in a vacuum (lack of atmosphere) the feather will fall exactly as fast as the marble.
