Rackattack... No, the trajectory hasn't changed enough to benefit my hunting, since I have a self imposed limit of 30 yards. But it does help on the longer stakes on the 3D range. The reason I decided to go this direction is how much my groups tightened up with these arrows and how much better my one shot accuracy is. Better accuracy = better shot placement. Frankly, I'm astounded that any all carbon arrow shoots more accurately than a good aluminum, but it's happening.
I've already dropped my arrow weight by 22%, from 10 grains per pound to 7.8! What more do you want?
I'll probably wind up shooting a BK2 after going to the vet and getting my bow arm shortened by an inch or two. And I'll start shooting 5 grains per pound @ 360 fps along about the same time. Wow! The very thought of shooting a 350 grain arrow at just over 100 ft lbs of energy scares the snot out of me! Besides, if I go to 8 grains per pound (560 grains), slow the arrow speed down to around 318 fps, my KE will go up to nearly 126 ft lbs.<img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>
BobCo, at the risk of telling on myself, I've shot pink vanes before. Not only pink, but flourescent pink. I never lost a single arrow in the grass with that color.
