Arthur

Come on,you know you want to.just do it.

I here some Steelhead 125's calling your name.

Before this discussion is over I'll be shooting 500 gr arrows with 2 bladers and you'll be shooting 500 gr carbons with Rockets.

Silent Assasin.

I have tested light against heavy and found out of my bow at 16 yards that my 356gr arrows did better than all the other arrows.I was shooting at board and styrofoam. When I went back to 20 yards I found the 700 gr carbons were busting the board and they were doing better. The 356 gr arrow was still a close 2'nd.These arrows were identical,I added weight inside the carbon to get it that heavy and I kept the foc about the same.

These arrows were Stingers and they spine out to 100# so the weight I added was most likely still ok.All of these arrows did best at 12% foc.

I changed the style of arrow to a traditional stinger and the weight on it was 420gr.The diameter was slightly bigger and it had 3" feathers.I tested it with 3 different heads and the one that did the best was the 1 that produced an foc of 18%.The others were less. This head and arrow almost shot completely through the board. The fletching was the only thing that stopped it.None of the others even came close to shooting through the board. The mass thickness of this arrow is what I think contributed do it's succes,or the fact it is a parallel to taper design and it punched a bigger hole and when the arrow got to the taper it had less friction to hold it back.

I will have to stick to the notion that the arrow makes the biggest difference and weight and ke are just guide lines.
