every scope brand i have looked at has had at least 3+ inches of eye relief even the cheap scopes, most scopes are 3.5-5.5"
It usually boils down to the scope not being mounted properly to begin with for your shooting position/style or lack of positioning the rifle before pulling the trigger vs. ER the scope affords.
thats the bottom line, the only time i've had my eyes X, while shooting a gun anyway, was when i shot uphill leaning up over the rifle, bad deal and i learned from it[:-].
