RE: .270 or 30-06?
I'd say a 30-06,but you MAY be too small framed to handle one,I'm 16 yrs old 6'2 240 pounds and It still kicks!An '06 is my choice,I use a winchester 165 grain pointed soft point and IT WORKS GREAT!As far as recoil My friend,who's 5'6 130 pounds,is 16 and shot my 12gauge and it almost knocked her FLAT,thats with a 2 3/4 inch load,an '06 has about as much recoil as a 3inch turkey load in 12 gauge.She watched me shoot my '06 and told me I was crazy for shooting it.
