RE: Explain deerhunting to non-hunters
That link was great. I've been trying to explain to my girlfriend, who by the way is a city and I am just a good ol backwoods boy, but have failed everytime I've tried. It's about being out there in God's country and being in the wild. You just can't explain the feeling of being out there in the woods just before day break. The hush, the stillness, and also the view of the most beautiful sunrises ever. Also, being a fisherman as well, the same applies for fishing. Viewing the glassy lake just as the sun starts peek its head up while the fog is still on the water. You just don't understand it unless you have experienced it yourself. I've been hooked on fishing and hunting ever since I was old enough to go, and it is something that I want my kids to experience as well. Anyway, the letter was beautiful and really hit the nail on the head.
