RE: Marlin 7000 or Marlin 60?
I have the 7000 with the clip,I have had it for years,after about a gazillion rounds the firing pin broke.
It has seen abuse but it keeps on ticking and killing gophers,it shoots as fast as I can pull the triger and it is accurate.
I had the 60 and the tube feed is nice to have a few more rounds.It was accurate also,I could hit nails off a fence post at 25 yds.
I like the looks of the Thompson/Center Bench mark,but I hear you have to keep them clean.I don't clean my Marlin 22 till about,2-3000 rounds.
