Default RE: Bow Prices SUCK!!!!!!!

ORIGINAL: datamax

atlasman - we agree to disagree on that then

I recently bought a Hoyt/Relflex bow, cam and 1/2, split limbs, droptine whiskerbiscuit, adjustable sight (like I like) shipped to me for $250

So while new bow prices might suck, used ones tend to be really good. With EBAY theres few things now that I would buy new
Perhaps you misunderstood some of my post..........my problem is not with how high the prices of new bows are. I think new bows are overpriced but not crazy. My problem is with that same new bow magically being worth only 1/2 of that a mere 2 seasons down the road.

Many guys don't shoot the crap out of their bows. You could buy a brand new Bowtech this year and shoot it 10 times........put it away and try to sell it in 2-3 years......you will take a bath on it, even though it is the same bow people valued so highly only 2 years before.

The difference between new and even slightly used in bowhunters minds is HUGE. So, it's not the cost of new........it's that used loses value so quickly.......Take your purchase of that Hoyt as a perfect example.......that guy paid more for that bare bow then you gave him for the whole rig.........why??...........because he was lucky to get that for one reason only, it was used.

USED.....is an ugly word in the archery world. Used rubbers retain more value then used bows.............especially if the have a reservoir tip
