RE: .270 or 30-06?
I used a 30-06 when I was a kid and have always loved them, my daughter is 14 and she has a 30-06 also, I cant get her to set it down for a second. She loves it, but it does have a bit of a kick for a young girl. my nephew has a .270 that doesnt kick nearly as much and its a great gun. But I would rather go with the 30-06. its good for just about anything you will ever hunt in North America, the only thing I would want bigger for would be for brown bear. It really all comes down to what your going to hunt and if the recoil is a concern (which i dought)
