<BLOCKQUOTE id=quotequote:
BTW, I addressed all the variables in my broadhead thread........unlike you I want facts, experiences and truth. Not just opinions and comments.

That in itself tells me you know jack #@#% about archery.

Me asking others about real experiences they have had with mechanical heads means I know nothing about archery??? I guess you used the same logic that tells you killing a deer with a 30 '06 is the same as killing a turkey with a bow and no blind

Right now you sound to frightened and timid(and obviously unqualified) to make up your own mind. My guess is unless you have a good pro shop close buy, you won't be shooting anything very well.

You are really a valuable member of the hunting community man. You make it sound like anyone who uses their head and does research on the proper way to hunt is silly, scared, and stupid. You would rather see someone just grab a bow and some arrows with whatever heads on them and start flinging arrows at game.........Hey the only way your ever gonna learn is by falling out of your stand a couple times, shooting a couple deer in the a$$, maybe even make a couple good shots if you get lucky because you haven't practiced at all because that would mean your scared right?? Then when you do actually hit a deer it will never be found because asking about and even going with a fellow hunter to track his deer would make you scared and unqualified so you didn't and now at least the bugs can eat well thanks to you. The ANTI's must love to read the garbage that flows from guys like you.

quote:
Besides, I prefer to hunt with the deadliest weapon I can so that is why I am researching broadheads so close BEFORE I choose........maybe you would be happier if I just didn't care and put any old piece of crap on the end of my arrows and learned what was good and what was bad by sticking them in a few deer and see what happens.........Sorry but I don't do things that way.

Yea well unlike you some of us actually had to go out and do the research ourselves. We didn't have the luxury of sitting back on our @$$ asking others to do it for us.

Why did you HAVE to?? You don't have a mouth to ask questions of others that hunted before you??? So the internet hasn't been around forever..............hunters have. There is no excuse for testing your equipment on game without at least SOME knowledge on it's ability to perform........If you go into the woods with something that you are not reasonably SURE will take the animal with a well placed shot......you are a SLOB and don't belong in the woods.

I only take high percentage shots and I put them in the boiler room. Thats essentially what it all boils down to. A point which you seem to be oblivious to.

Do you even read before you reply??? That is EXACTLY what I stated in my mechanicals thread. I asked whether some of the stories you hear are due more to bad shots then bad performance of the head. I wanted to hear from people who have nailed a deer in the vitals with a well tuned bow and had the head fail them. I didn't expect many first hand stories just like I don't expect you to understand what you are reading.

[quote]If you question there validity, refuse to do your own testing(I assume you condone it as long as someone else does it)/quote]

YES I DO..........I think 5 shot does an excellent job on his testing of broadheads of all kinds. I know it isn't perfect and deer are not made of steel drum, but it's better then nothing and I will take it any day over just grabbing some heads 2 weeks before the season and saying "man, I HOPE these work"

So it's ok for others to do it and come back and tell you about it?
How the hell else do you think someone find outs how effective a broadhead is? They hunt with them. Deer aren't made of plywood or steel.

Ultimately, the final evidence will be on the animal you hunt........However, it should not be a TEST. When you fire that head at your target you should be confident beyond a reasonable doubt that the head will so it's job. If you are not........stay home and stop wounding animals.

It is clear to me that you have little if any respect for any of the animals you hunt or the other hunters that you share the woods with. What you consider to be macho is in fact just plain stupid. You state you have forgotten more about archery then I know........you sure have a funny way of showing it because you come off as a hot headed little kid who gets mad when he doesn't get his way and quickly resorts to name calling and insults.
