RE: Poll ? Which is hardest to kill?

That in itself tells me you know jack #@#% about archery. So why would I listen to someone that I have forgotten more about the sport than he obviously knows. I persoanlly don't need someone else to tell me what to shoot in order be able to kill deer with it. I have killed deer with Muzzy's, Thunderheads, Spitfires, Rocket Sidewinders, and Rocket Steel Forces and never had a problem with any one of them. No one could have told me what I SAW WITH MY OWN TWO EYES AND IT SANK IN ANY BETTER THAN DOING IT MYSELF. Be a man go out and practice for a few more years and then when you get enough confidence under your belt you can reevaluate the situation. Right now you sound to frightened and timid(and obviously unqualified) to make up your own mind. My guess is unless you have a good pro shop close buy, you won't be shooting anything very well.

quote:
Besides, I prefer to hunt with the deadliest weapon I can so that is why I am researching broadheads so close BEFORE I choose........maybe you would be happier if I just didn't care and put any old piece of crap on the end of my arrows and learned what was good and what was bad by sticking them in a few deer and see what happens.........Sorry but I don't do things that way.

Yea well unlike you some of us actually had to go out and do the research ourselves. We didn't have the luxury of sitting back on our @$$ asking others to do it for us. Most any broadhead you set out to shoot is just exactly as deadly as the man shooting it is. I kill deer consistently with all of them I have ever shot. But I only take high percentage shots and I put them in the boiler room. Thats essentially what it all boils down to. A point which you seem to be oblivious to. When you compare Muzzy to Thunderheads or Spitfires to Steelheads you are splitting hairs, there just isn't that much difference in there performance. If you are so concerned about shooting mechanicals then I suggest that you don't shoot them. If you question there validity, refuse to do your own testing(I assume you condone it as long as someone else does it) and refuse to believe what others tell then you have no business shooting them(buy the way you are asking advice of people that you are striving not to be like)(I mean the nerve of these people to actually go out and field test). something).

quote:
and learned what was good and what was bad by sticking them in a few deer and see what happens.........Sorry but I don't do things that way.

So it's ok for others to do it and come back and tell you about it?
How the hell else do you think someone find outs how effective a broadhead is? They hunt with them. Deer aren't made of plywood or steel.
