Default looking for a do it yourself pig hunt

i am trying to do two things, the first is to find the farthest north population of wild pigs that anyone knows of, and i stress wild. i don't want to be behind a fence. second, just how hard is it to hunt these critters, and what do i look for? how big do they normally run? how do i judge tusks, and do all pigs have them? i had one hell of a year last year hunting: two turkeys, then a bear, a cow moose, finished with a buck. now i want a pig and am layed off for the winter, so i have time to do it. any help that you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated, might even toss in some moose steakes were it to be on your private property, lol. i live in vermont, so i prefer it to be as close as possible. thanks,
Pat
