I too am one of them there bigger fellas. I don't know of any steps to help you with. I use screw ins myself. If you haven't bought a stand yet, have you thought of maybe purchasing a climber. I used a buddy of mines once this last season and could of easily sat all day (20 ft up). No time involved to set up or pull up to where you wish to perch. Anyway just a thought.
