I had four rifle antlerless deer tags left to fill. Four shots from the new 25-06 and four does in the bag. I shot 100 grain Balistic tips for three of them loaded to 3035 fps. The other was a 115 grain balistic tip. For mule deer the 25-06 is about perfect. Flat shooting and plenty of power. No recoil even on my bad shoulder. Three went down in their tracks and one ran about 30 yards or so. Now for the hard part. Cutting meat and making sausage and stuff. Then the easy part. Eating it all up.
