Hunt whenever you have the time is the real answer! I got my first buck 3 years ago on a day when we received 8-10 inches of snow. I was out at 5:30AM, climbed my tree, installed my tree umbrella, and began my hunt. About 30 minutes after 1st light it began to sleet and then changed to snow...about 30 minutes after that I could hear the light sound of footsteps off and on...and then he appeared broadside and he was down with one shot. I could provide more details because I remember it as if it was yesterday!

Anyways, my real point is to hunt whenever you can and be prepared. I always monitor the weather, the moon, and adjust accordingly. I enjoy hunting more during snow or light rain than on a sunny day. Where I hunt, it's pretty in the woods during foul weather and less hunters. I'd say my luck or productivity is about the same wheather the weather is nice or poor.

So, hunt when you can, be prepared and be safe. With snow or rain, the trees are slick which make climbing trees hazardous and your boots slippery as well.

In fact, today it's cold and rainy/icy here in northern NJ. My wife is out with her Mom so the kids and I are at home playing, but I will head out this afternoon regardless...with my tree umbrella if necessary...just to enjoy the late afternoon hours in the woods to see what happens.
