RE: 115 grain Nosler Ballistic tips.
I shot three deer with the 25-06 the last two days. One with the 115 grain Balistic tips and two with 100 grain balistic tips. The 100 grains were going about 3040 fps and the 115 grains at 2935 fps. At 100 yards both rounds hit in the same spot up and down. At longer range I suppose they would not quite keep the same trajectory. However two deer dropped in their tracks and the last one, a 100 grain hit ran about 30 yards. The hit was a little high but got one lung. I don't see me straying far from the balistic tips in this gun for deer although I may try a few other bullets. I like the Sierra pro-hunters in 280 and 308 so I might try them and the Hornady SST. If I use it for elk I would go to the Barnes X bullet only.
