Default omega

well fellow smokepollers, after reading all the posts about the omegas I just thought I would tell you about my experience with those guns. First of all I bought a knight disc two years ago, beautiful gun, stainless with a mossy oak stock, then I put a nikon scope on it.Boy did it turn out to be a shooter. But then I picked up my first omega this past summer and that is the best thing I have done to support my habbit in muzzleloading. I bought the stainless with the gray laminate stock and then I put a simmons Atec scope on it and off to the range I went. My loads were 2 triple seven pellets and the thompson center shockwaves in the 250 grain. Within 10 shots, spit patching between each shot I put the last four shots touching at a in. high at 100 yds. man was I happy,I did think it was two good to be true but neverless very happy,so off I went to the woods for the opener of muzzleloader.sat in the woods for a while then saw a big doe in the field.I got myself to the edge and put my rangefinder on her and it read 178yards.so I cranked my scope up to 10 power and put the crosshairs on her shoulder an touched her off. Well after the repore I heard the bullet hit her and down she went like I had hit her with a truck. So I went back to the place where I bought the gun basically to brag about the gun and I'll be damned if they weren't putting a new omega on the rack, but this one was the rosewood laminate thumbhole stock with the stainless barrell.Well I had to have it. So I put the same setup on it and went to shoot. This time I was useing harvester ammo.I took it out the following day and sat the edge of a standing corn field, right about dusk I saw a deers head sticking out of the corn like he wanted to come out but wouldn't,so I put the rangefinder on him yes him it said 94 yards.when I touched the trigger and the smoke cleared there was no deer so I took a walk down to where I thought he was and he was still there but now he had two holes in his neck, small one going in and a hole that you could put a golf ball in on the exit. the only thing that I,m going to change is the power, because of the crud ring issue.I just can't say enough about these OMEGAS!!! needless to say my knight is up for sale.
