The 25-06 with a 100 grain core lokt sounds pretty good to me. As far as calls, there are a ton of them on the market right now. The Randy Anderson series from Primos has a good line of calls. A hot dog and a Ki Yi should be good starter calls. The coyotes couldbe near the barns or they could be near th woods, it just depends where the food is at. If you know they are getting mice or attempting to get hogs/chickens, you could hunt near the barns. I think there is a tape i saw tonite at cableas that is pig in distress. Tape or CD players are pretty nice too. The guy i hunt with has one so i broke down and bought tonite. For a basic player with one speaker, its only about 140 dollars. I also have checked out the Predation Mini Caller from Western Rivers(i think) and can say its a piece of junk. The cass creek predator caller is much better if you go with a handheld electronic option.
