308Win. for the Classic? Good choice IMO. I don't think the Classic has to be a rare
chambering, or an attempt to bring back some old or obsolete cartrigde. The 308 is
approx. 50yr old by now, and certainly one of the most popular cartridges out there.
It's sort of the father of the modern short action cartridges, too. The 308Win. is deserving of "classic" status.
