Of course it will depend on the height profile of the feather/vane you're using, but I have used 25's with feathers on my Merlin shoot-through with no problems.

Martin offers some extra wide axles to give more clearance for just this reason. I know guys shooting 26's with feathers and a shoot through system, so it can work.
