RE: how long do you leave the hide on your deer?
well if i have to move it somewhere i ussually keep the hide on. and cooling depends on how cold it is outside. if need be pack some ice into the chest cavity and and make sure to open it up good and that should be fine for the trip home and then take the hide off.
