It all depends on where you go and the level of service that you get. I personally would rather take my bow to someone like Len and pay $40 than I would take it to Jackleg Joe and only pay $15. It's worth it to me to have the piece of mind to know that my equipment has been in the hands of someone who took the time to thoroughly access the issues at hand. Unfortunately, there is no one like that in this area.

There are some decent shops and a couple of reasonably knowledgeable techs that will do the best that they know how for you. There just isn't anyone around here that has a "Len type" conceptual knowledge of archery equipment. The concept is still the same though. You take it to the one that you have the most confidence in and then pay whatever that person charges.
