Default RE: ''BOX CALLS''

I use a good number of differant woods, primarily domestics with the exeption of Mahogany and Purple Heart.
I use mahogany, Purple Heart, Black Walnut, Maple and Cherry strikers.
Boxes are of Poplar, Sassafrass, Butternut, Mahogany, Box Alder, Cherry and Black Walnut, with more to come.

The Checkering is twofold, while it decorates and beautifies the call. It also alows for a thicker and stronger soundboard. As the removal of wood between the checks weakens the soundboards just enough to allow vibration emiting turkey like sound.

My calls are of the highest quality available, if it don't sound good, it will be fancey kindling.

Thanx for your kind comments,
Steve
