3 of us had a cleman cow tag. and we hunted a total or 15 days and no elk. we did not even see an elk. the fire at mud lake really devestated the unit this year. i only heard of one elk getting shot in that whole unit. and they did it illegally. but anyway first time in 3 years getting drawn that i did not get an elk. but hopefully i will get it again next year. hard to hunt a wintering area when there is no snow in the area. it was cold in the fog but when u got above the fog. it was t-shirt weather.
