PETA, a bunch of zealots that believe they have a monopoly on the truth. It nevers occurs to them that being a vegetarian, while perfectly within one's rights, is the ultimate statement of human arrogance. For one thing to live something else must die, only human arrogance would decide that animal life is more valuable than plant life simply because animals have a central nervous system, or are more like us. These are the people who claim that nature is serene and peaceful. I guess they never watched polar bears with bloody faces after eating baby seals.

What do you guys think? I think hunting is fine and great, the purpose of some men. Some people are hunters, not everyone but some. As long as what is killed is consumed and the animal has a proper chance for survival then hunting is fine. I'm a bit baffled at people's objection to it, people that even eat meat. Do they think the cows they are eating are humanely treated? They live in a small cell and ar pumped full of steriods and anitbiotics. Nothing humane about it. To hunt and kill what one eats seems to me to be the most civilized, fair, and least perverse method of sustaining life. Far less perverse than factory farms, poultry farms, genetically engineered produce, and all the problems that come form these things.

I know this is a hunting board, and I doubt there will be any anti-hunting posts, but reactions would still be cool.
