The 30-378 is a nice addition if you already have a few hunting rifles.However it is a very poor choice for a one gun hunter.Due to the extreme recoil and extreme high cost of ammunition you will not want to practise with this rifle so you will not develop and maintain the shooting skills necessary to take advantage of the great ballistics.
