Default RE: Clover mowed down

I have a couple of small plots Russ. I have a 1/2 acre plot of imperial clover and had about 1000 sq' of powerplant I tried this year. The clover grew and was untouched all year. The deer seemed to prefer the power plant and ate it until it finally died of after the first hard frost. Since then the 1/2 acre of imperial clover has been mowed to the ground.

I know there isn't enough food to help the herd tremensly but it supplements their diet. I wish I had more land to plant. I plan to expand the Powerplant to 4000 or 5000sq' next spring but that's all the land I have to plant.

I have to agree that once the first good frost hits they move right to the clover. It's been burried in snow a couple of times and the deer are digging to get at it and it's still green.
