Default RE: Does anybody hunt Allegany County NY?

I live about 25 miles south from Avoca. Small town, farmland. Lots of does. Its good hunting. Bow season like everyone said is prime. During gun season at least for the first week the woods are shell-shocked. If you sit and let all the un-educated hunters push deer off there property around yours, the deer will wonder on to yours, you'll see deer will find a safe spot (sanctuary) on your property. Don’t hunt the safe spot. Hunt on the side of it or near it, or where the deer come out of it, deer need sanctuary’s in this area. As the season go's on it picks up. If you do it right, as in not driving deer, walking to your tree stand where you wont spook deer; always sitting. QDM, you’ll see more deer pick up. As for bucks, I gotta 121 this year during muzzle, that’s a little more than avg around here. maybe you should try coming out and looking at what habitat the deer have. That’s vary important. We really dont have to much of a problem with city slickers
