Tazman... they can help a little with the newer hearing aids. I have 90% hearing loss above 2500hz which catches high pitched voices, clock, smoke alarms, birds and so on. 30 years ago when it happened they said there was nothing they could do. Last year they fitted me with some new hearing aids that are tuned to the higher frequencies. I now can hear a lot of things I couldn't before. I can now hear squirrels chatter, deer run... all kinds of good things. AND... if I want to I can still tune out the world.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
