After using the Cranford folding steps for many years, I agree, the one piece Rod steps are the way to go!! I am using the Gametracker rod steps now and have been very happy with these as well. They are also made in the USA, and have the tapered machined screw for easy starting as well. Price wise you have to shop around. I have gotten these Gametracker steps for under $2.00 a piece, where as the EZY Rod steps are almost $4.00 a piece!! Big difference!!
