Default RE: always carry a ....

All of these are great ideas! If a cell will work in your area,by all means carry one.I hunt in several different areas around my home, and
since I am usually up and gone way before the family gets up,I have a way that I communicate my plans to them.I picked up a small dry-erase slate board(about 24"x24&quot,and mounted it outside the kitchen door, under the carport.I attached a zip-lok bag to it to keep a marker in,so it's always there. When i get ready to take off,the LAST
thing I do is to jot down which stand or area that I will be in.This
way,if I don't show up,my wife can notify a buddy of mine, and he knows where to look for me.WORKS FOR ME!
Two other item that you should alwats have with you,are a good, sharp knife, and some way to start a fire(just in case).A good motto to live by is...ALWAYS BE PREPARED,AND EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
