I own 3 Rums 338,300 and just picked up a 7mm SA for my boy.
I see alot of posts on here about recoil with these. I don't know how you shoot them,But I have found that by setting your rifle in a good rest on the bench for sighting in you should have no problem. In hunting situations you don't feel the recoil as the adrenlin level is high.
The 338 and 300 have recoil pads and brakes but I have found no need to brake the 7mm SA as to my 16 year old the recoil is manageable. We did install an after market pad though.
I was a little concerned about muzzle jump for follow-up shots that's why I went with the brakes,not to mention I picked up 2" on the barrel length.
