RE: Adapted Equipment?
Hi again Chairman!I completly understand your predicament there bud, what with being kinda dependant on others for help in setting up.
Shame ya ain't close by....I'm off alot, the way that I work, and could use a hunting partner...lol!I hunt alone probably 99% of the time.Though I don't own one,I know that the double-bull is a real nice blind, although it is expensive. There are some other options around. One might be the fairly new "quick carry ground blind",made by Avery. It is a lightweight blind(only weighs 1lb.),It measures 12
feet long,by30 inches high.It is really made for turkey hunters on the move. You set it up around you,so I think it would be not too difficult to do from a chair. It comes in two patterns:Mossy oak/
forest floor, and Mossy Oak/break-up.It has five fibreglass poles included, and comes with a shoulder strap for carrying,or in your
case,to attach to the chair-back maybe.Best thing is...it can be had for $25 or less!Another real good blind is the "super-light portable"
,built by Hunter's Specialties.It is 12 feet long,by 27 inches high.It is die-cut material,has 7 stakes,and weighs less than 2lbs.
To move all you have to do is,pull up stakes, roll it up,and go!It too
has a shoulder strap,and comes in Realtree x-tra brown,hardwoods,and
advantage timber. Will run ya about $30.
Her's a thought on the chair carrier too. There is a product called the "haul it all"(don't know the manufacturer),that mounts into a
standard 2" receiver hitch on an ATV.It is made of 1" square tubing,
and measures 20"x48".It has multiple places to hook up bungee cords,
so you can strap stuff down.It will hold up to 300 lbs.It is available thru Bass Pro for one,and runs about $80.
One last thing you can try with your ground set-up,is too use a decoy, like one from Feather -Flex,to draw the deer's attention away from the blind. They are light-weight,and can be rolled up,and
transported easily.Hope some of this helps ya bud.Catch ya later!
