Realistically tho the 240 Wby is only a blink or two ahead of the 243 and a 6mm Rem can be hotloaded over it.
How do you do that???? How do you take a smaller case and hotrod it over a bigger case with the same bullet????? Can't you just hotrod the bigger case even more??????

I've had several .243 Win.'s since the early 70's, and a 240 Wby. since the early 80's, and 6mm Rem.'s inbetween. I've also been handloading since the 60's and i haven't figured out how to do it in my guns...

Bottom line, the 240 Wby. is the hotrod of the 6mm's, and i still don't consider it an excelent whitetail round for "most" hunters..

BTW, mine is built with a 26" bbl, on a LH 700 Rem. action, built by P.O. Ackley...
