I'd never say anything bad about the Ruger #1, but if you MUST sell it in order to get the Encore barrel, go for it. The Encore action is plenty strong enough for the 300WM and you shouldn't lose any accuracy. IMHO, your ability to shoot both the 50cal BP and the 300WM, while shouldering the same stock and pulling the same trigger, will make you a better shooter.
