sorry to hear the little guy didnt make it... from the experiences ive seen, most the time if the deer is in bad enough shape to allow you to get it then it typically does not make it. just last year a friend of mine found a doe that had been hit by a car and had a badly broken leg. he put it in his car and took it home with him and was able to keep her alive for several days but she eventually passed. even though I am a hunter it is really a shame to see them in bad shape and suffering like that.
