there are alot of different opions on optic's everywhere on the internet, lots of people are brand loyal and will talk down about other brands tassco's for one make fine optics i have a couple and they work great and hold zero fine, i also have a simmons that dose the same. the leupold i also have is great. I have herd of people getting good bsa's that will work fine but alot of others say there junk. go for whatever best suits your price range and what your going to be using the gun for. on my marlin 917vs i mounted a simmons prohunter 4-12x40AO and its perfect for gopher shooting.
