I've always wanted a hunting dog for hunting pheasants and coon. Now that I don't trap anymore I really only need a pheasant dog though (unless theres some dog that could do both). I have enough money and a place to keep the dog, but i have absolutly no idea how to train or anything like that. How much work does it take to get a dog ready to hunt? How many years does it take? Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome!
