You guys might find this interesting, I was a rock & ice climber for years. Took a bad fall in 79, broke a lot of stuff, should be dead. Got married in 83, the big D in 86. To save what was left of my brain jumped into fly fishing, then bow hunting and yes I fly fish like I hunt and call. Not only did I do the 3D thing, but ran hills looking for elk and stump shooting. It was the stump shooting that really groomed me. I shot so many arrows at over 60yds, 40 yds to me is 20yds to target archers. To improve my form, I practice at 80yds. If you can shoot 6 inch groups at 80yds, you are right on the money. The funny part is it was an olympic shooter that showed me how to do it. He didn't hunt, just shot a bow. And let me tell you what this guy can shoot, I will never be that good. So Elkcrazy8, you are doing the right thing, you too can save your brain and I can't think of a better way.
