Trailer - you want to improve the accuracy of your savage. I just got a sear assembly from Rifle Basix (Model SAV-R). It has a trigger pull of 9 oz o 1 1/2 lb. Its a hell of a far cry for the monsterous trigger pull on the factory trigger. It comes with complete instructions and you can put it in yourself in about 20 mins.
As for the scope, I mounted a Tasco 3-9 on mine. Works pretty good. Good enough to head shoot a turkey this past fall at about 50 yds.
