I had a really tough 6 day firearm season... I normally see tons of deer. However this year was the worst for deer sightings I have ever experienced. I hunted the permit season, which started yesterday in zone #2, and thought I was in for more of the same. I did not see a deer all day. It was so bad I was thinking that someone must have contaminated my stand area!!! Well, my patience was rewarded when this buck came out from a neighboring property at 4:20 PM. I am really, really happy with this deer. It is my best whitetail to date. I am so glad I stuck it out and thankful for the sacrifices I made to achieve it... I want to publicly thank my wife for putting up with my insane obsession for hunting, this makes it all worth while!!!!
