Whoever has the best shot chooses the next target, maybe a leaf or a dried up cow pie.
Key words here--"dried up"![:'(] Yep, it makes a world of difference shooting the same old targets at known distances in the same positions all the time. Getting out gets you more familiar with unknown distances, different terrain, up-hill, down-hill, etc. It woudn't hurt to visit some different 3-D courses/shoots too--very good practice. You might try shooting for actual kill shots instead of scoring rings.
