Default RE: Have you ever smelled a doe in heat?

Just curious,

Anytime I hear of someone in my neck of the woods taking a rutting buck I like to find out the date for reference.
My Dad took a super nice 10 point last year that was running a doe all over the mountain on the first day of rifle. Your story confirms the timing of the rut we saw last year.
Seems like the rut comes later the last couple of years in PA. I sure wish that bow season would start 2 weeks later and run till the end of November. The bucks don't start running until we bowhunters are done and gone anymore. (Although I wouldn't object to popping one with a rifle in the mountains either, like my Dad did)
