And besides that, who knows for sure if ANYONE'S judgement is trustworthy? As a society we can, and ought to, only judge people by what they HAVE DONE, not by what they MIGHT DO unless they have shown obvious intent to do harm. That is the nature of freedom and liberty. Saying that we should not allow teachers and administrators to legally arm themselves because they MIGHT do something violent and illegal is like saying that we should not allow cars on school grounds because a soccer mom with three screaming kids in the back seat and her cell phone planted to her ear MIGHT in a moment of distraction run down a group of kids in a crosswalk. That's what makes no sense.
I agree with your first sentence, which is why I would rather not have guns allowed in school. I don't really agree with your analogy, but hey, to each his own.
