RE: X-mountie's Buck Pics
These are the two bucks taken right across the street from my house.
The "big" one is a 15 pointer (counting 3 kickers) which weighed in at 240. I scored 163 (B&C) gross.
The other one, an 8 point, weighed in at 185. It hasn't been scored.
The big one was taken in the afternnon of the 3rd day of the hunt and the other 2 (8 pt and a big doe) were taken on Saturday afternoon of the same week.
The big one came in alone and was neck shot at about 25 yds. He came into the clearing and went right into a "crouch" and seemned to be staring right at me. After i took the shot, i heard crashing bedind me but couldn't see anything. On Sat. the doe came into the clearing with the 8 pt. Got both of them right there at about 20 - 25 yds.
I think the big one wasn't looking at me, but may well have been preparing to do battle with the 8 pt. - that was the crashing in behind.
