I always called a fawn a yearling but now I know better. You can't argue with Mr. Webster. This is a little off the subject but I once had another hunter tell me he shot a 1 1/2 year old button buck. I thought to myself, whatever makes you feel better about yourself. Really theres nothing wrong with it. Matter of fact there very tasty.
