I went into Scheels today to pick up a rifle that I had on Lay away. Trouble is they had a new 25-06 Ruger with a composite stock and 24 inch barrel. It was marked down a 100 dollars. Needless to say it followed me home and the layaway on the other rifle was re-written. It will take me a few days to hunt up my dies and brass so I bought a box of the Winchester Supreme 115 grain ballistic silver tips. Anyone used that ammo? If so how did it perform. I would like to get it ready quick if I can as I have two tags for deer left for the late rifle season which is Jan. 1-9. I have two new scopes here. One is a new Aetec 2.8x10 and the other a Scheels Hunter model in 4x14. I also have a new Luepold Rifleman 3x9. Any of them should work well I would think. Happy Day. New Pea shooter.
