RE: LoneWolf Alpha Sit & Climb Treestand
OK, I have a small review for you. Granted, it is only my opinion, but take it for what itis worth.
I recently bought the Lone Wolf "Sit and Climb". Last season I bought the Warren and Sweat " Cam lock Imperial" and I am sorry I bought the latter because it is going to gather a lot of dust in the garage.
The Lone Wolf is without question the finest stand I have ever used. It is quite possibly the quietest, most over-engineered, strongest stand I have ever tested/used.
The thing bites the tree like a pit bull. I mean you really feel secure in the stand. It is ultra light and ultra comfortable. No unnecessary anything. No squeaks or rattles. You can climb a tree like a squirrel with no real effort(read:without working up a sweat)
Now, it is more costly that some of the other stand. In the same arena as the Tree Lounger or the Buck Shot as far as price. But like the "Cam Lock Imperial", if the stand is big and bulky, heavy and noisy to carry, you are not as likely to tote the thing long distances to the really good hunting spots, but rather, take the closest tree just to get the thing off your back!
The Sit and Climb was the better option for me because it offered me the best of all worlds- it is as good a bowhunting stand as it is for firearms. (Can you tell I like this thing?)
Lone Wolf had the bowhunter in mind when they built this stand. I say this because they engineered a bowholder into the platform of the stand which holds your bow directly in front of you between your feet!
In my opinion, it will be the last climbing stand you ever need!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
