I just bought a CDL in 3006 and I really like it. I've killed a doe with it so far this season. It's topped with a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 scope in Leupold rings and bases. Shooting Federal Premium 150 grain Ballistic Tips I'm getting 1 to 1.5 inch groups if I do my part. My doe never took a step after the shot.She was about 100 yards out. The Ballistic Tip left a 30 cal. hole in the near shoulder and a fist size hole in the off side shoulder. Buy The CDL if it fits you and feels good, after all you'll shoot better if one fits and feels right. Try several brands for fit and feel and get the one thats right for you. Rem, Ruger, Winchester, Browning, Tikka all make good rifles.
