Default RE: corelokts

ssternadel, I have used corlokts in many of my guns over the years and I have never had any of the problems that a lot of these people online talk about. The first deer rifle I ever bought with my own money was a 30-06 when I was 18. I used 150 grain Rem corlokts in it for the next 10 years. You couldn't haul the deer I killed with that gun and bullet combination in a duel wheeled dump truck. Never had a shell snap. Never had a bullet blow up on impact with a deer. Never had one pencil hole through without expanding. Since then, I've used corlokts in 243, 25-06, 7mm-08 and 7mm mag to kill deer. All did the job equally well. Bullets are to gun hunters what broadheads often are to bowhunters, A SCAPEGOAT when a deer is wounded and lost. If I blacklisted every bullet or broadhead I have read at least one internet horror story about then I'd probably have to quit hunting.

I now let the individual rifle show me at the range what bullet it likes best. But if that bullet turned out to be a corlokt I would not hesitate to use it.
